Unitec Te Pūkenga Mt Albert Campus B171

The project encompassed the complete replacement of exterior cladding and joinery to the original marae, Te Pūkenga building. Works involved the removal and replacement of the existing cedar weather boards, laminated posts that support an overhanging roof structure and installation of bespoke design timber joinery to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the building. All work was carried out in a live and operational environment, with utmost safety precautions. Legacy successfully deconstructed the existing cladding whilst preserving the integrity of the existing wrap and framing battens.
